The periwinkle are everywhere. They are such a cheery plant with their almost luminous blue flowers.

Pretty pink azaleas in our back yard.

Helleborus come up in the late winter and are just remarkable flowers. The only problem is that they like to hang their heads down so you have to hunker down to get a good look at them. This picture was taken up in Watkinsville.

We skipped most of spring and have gone directly to summer this year in Georgia.

The temperature was in the mid 80's today and the pollen was so thick that it has coated everything a lime green color. I'd post a picture but I'd be afraid to take my little camera out in that stuff for very long.

Bailey came back from our morning walk with lime green feet and beard. Weird looking little guy he was.

Oddly this is not the stuff that seems to give me allergy attacks. No sneezing or wheezing or itchy eyes, just this thick haze of green. I've been assured that it will end soon and then we can hose the world down and get on with it.

In the meantime, we have some very pretty flowers and bushes to look at.

Wisteria have taken over the county. The beautiful flowers hang down from tall vines which border so many roads here. This one was taken of a wisteria bush in our yard. The previous owners seemed to have a handle on keeping the stuff under control and we just have bunches of bushes of lovely lavender colored blossoms.

And who can forget that Bradford pear? It's flowers are almost gone and they have been replaced by bright green leaves.
